This showing includes our introductory film about Andrée’s polar expedition (approx. 15 minutes) as well as the opportunity to ask questions to one of our guides who can tell you more based on the group’s interests.

FILM AND GOLD NUGGETS
This showing includes our introductory film about Andrée’s polar expedition (approx. 15 minutes). After the film, the guide takes the group out into the museum and tells more about some selected “gold nuggets” among the museum’s objects.

Tour of Rasmus kvarn in Röttle village
Röttle village is just south of Gränna. Count Per Brahe the younger established several industries here during the 17th century. Grenna Museum manages two old mills in the village, which are located along Röttle river: Jerusalems mill and Rasmus mill. On this tour, the guide tells about the long history of Rasmus mill from the 17th century and onwards. The group gets to see how flour is milled using water power. There is an opportunity to buy a bag of Röttlemjöl.
Time: 30 minutes
Max number of people: 15 people (larger groups can book two consecutive appointments after each other)
Price: 500 SEK

Culture walk in Röttle village
Röttle village is just south of Gränna. Count Per Brahe the younger established several industries here during the 17th century. Grenna Museum manages two old mills in the village, which are located along Röttle river: Jerusalems mill and Rasmus mill. During this cultural walk, the guide tells about Röttle village’s rich industrial history from the 17th century and onwards. The walk along Röttle river follows a hilly path for about 1.2 km and ends with a visit to Rasmus mill. Remember to have comfortable shoes and clothes that is fitting for the weather.

Lectures
Otto Nordenskjöld's South Polar Expedition 1901 - 1903
Few know about Otto Nordenskjöld and Sweden’s first expedition to Antarctica – before the more famous Brits Scott and Shackleton. We tell a story about an expedition that is at least as dramatic, and also scientifically successful, which is shown with pictures and diary extracts from the participants.

The history of Grenna
A story in words and pictures about the local area’s history with stone coffins, Russian war prisoners, American bombers and “polka pig” makers.

A city walk in the city of "polka pigs"
In the footsteps of Amalia Erikson
During this city tour, your group will learn more about Gränna’s history from the 17th century onwards based on the homes of the “polka pig’s” mother, Amalia Erikson.
Time: 60–75 minutes

Minimum number of participants: 10 people
